Day 38 was the first day back after taking some time off for the birth of my daugter.

The first thing I did was create a new automation in home assistant so we can easily turn on some lights to low levels at night to feed and change her without waking each other.

The next is setup a Kwikset Smartcode 916 with Zigbee for my front door lock. We had some trouble while in the hospital with relatives locking themselves and forgetting keys. Even though they could access through our garage, they locked that interior door as well. So this will serve as a backup for the front door. I paired the lock with Home Assistant via Zigbee so I can control it from anywhere but not give access through some third party cloud. Tomorrow will be actually installing it.
